Well, there are times when all things must come to an end. After realizing just how ego-based almost all my YouTube videos have been, and after realizing how silly it is (for me anyway, I won't judge others for doing this, people are where they are) to argue about different ideologies, my ranting about opinions (which everyone knows opinions are like assholes) on YouTube I believe is coming to an end.
For the past 2-3 years, YouTube has been my therapy. It has been a huge benefit to me. Just like in "actual" therapy, there are times where it makes me happy, and times where it makes me sad, depressed, or angry. Either way, it has been an incredible resource for me. Recently, after getting past the most major hurdle in my life, where I was so scared of my own femininity, and after realizing how ego-based so many of the things I have done are, and getting a lot more self-acceptance, I am done using YouTube as my therapy.
I'm not giving up on YouTube, but I am giving up on making these videos that I've been know for making for at least the past 3 years--they no longer benefit me.
I'm done with arguing, I'm done with acting like I'm right or that my opinion actually means anything other than my opinion, I'm done with pseudo-debating, I'm done with promoting negativity, I'm just done with all that.
I'm also done with my paranoia of, if I'm in a public place, accidentally filming other people. People can see that I have a camcorder, and if they don't want to be filmed, they can cover their faces or something. I will probably be making a lot more videos of when I go to different places, when I'm spending time with friends, when I'm just having a good time.
When I can get my midi going again (Windows 10 technical preview build 10049 and 10061 have disabled all external midi inputs, unfortunately), I plan on working on music more. If the next build doesn't fix the problem, I'll just switch back to Windows 8.1 and stop being a pseudo-beta-tester. Once I get back in the regular mode of making music regularly, I'll be uploading my creations to YouTube.
Where my YouTube channel is going now, I have no idea.
In the past when I have made the declaration that I'm going to change my YouTube channel, it was me declaring that I *want* to do something. This time, it's more of an issue of just not seeing the point in doing what I have done in the past--it's not something I have any sort of goal for, it's just that I don't see the point in what I've been doing for so long--it's sort-of like how in the past, I had *tried* to quit weed because I thought it would be a good idea--now I don't do weed anymore because I just don't see the point--it doesn't benefit me really, so I don't do it anymore.
Anyway, blah blah blah.
