Hosted by supermodel Elle Macpherson along with
celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie
and John Varvatos, Fashion Star is the search for the
next big name in fashion. Over ten episodes, fourteen
unknown designers are given the chance to launch
their collections in three of the world's largest retailers:
Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue, but in the end
one designer will successfully combine fashion and
business to become the next Fashion Star receiving
the prize of a lifetime -- $6,000,000 in orders for their
collections. The fashion designers featured on the
show include a stay-at-home mum who makes her
own clothes, and an engineer who became a selftaught
designer.
